“Babies seem like they need a bunch of stuff, but they really just need you.” This is so true. A lot of the “stuff” for babies today makes it easier to take care of them, and often safer for them, but sometimes it can get out of hand (and very expensive), and usually it is not going to make them feel loved, cared for, and secure. Atticus is a happy and healthy little boy because you and Mike (and others who love him) have given of yourselves and he has received these important intangible things. And “New Mama,” I am sure you are going to do the same thing because of who you are.

I love this. What great advice to any new mom be it her first or her 4th. We all need grace. I also think that new moms need a better warning before they enter motherhood that it’s not all coos and smiles. Sometimes it’s hard and just sucks. And in the end our kids love us and we love them.
