you see… when i moved i wanted that so much. because i had been fortunate enough to experience that when we first moved to florida. but i suppose lightning doesn’t strike twice. and when your neighbor reads this? i think she will cry and thank God for you.

We, too, have neighbors like yours. And it is truly a gift. They stand in as my surrogate parents (and my kids’ grandparents) because mine live so far away. Thanks for reminding me of the treasure that’s right next door.
