Yet another one the great things about Charlottesville… everyone is more pretentious than I am. I could go up to someone and be like “So John Grisham was at church last week…” and they’d interrupt, “Well, I didn’t go to church because I was on my way back from hiking the Appalachian Trail, and then I almost missed my Nia class, and made it out of there just in time to see a play at Live Arts, after which I snagged the last outdoor table at Mas Tapas, where my favorite was the Solomillo de Kobe (thinly sliced kobe beef strip loin, very rare only, w/ manchego cheese, a smizzala of white truffle oil over arugula).” Also, there is an entire store here called Oil & Vinegar, which sells mainly oil & vinegar, oddly enough; it’s one of only 5 franchises in this great nation. If you would come visit, we'd take you there.

That's nothing. I have seen people in a store full of cheese, looking at a specific and cheese, and then not buying it because it WASN'T MADE IN THE RIGHT MONTH.

Do you know where my Farmer's Market is in Nashville?? ON THE HOSPITAL CAMPUS. Ah, Vanderbilt. Long past being worried about being pretentious. Hahahaha. (I am really, really excited about it though. Although I can't be as pretentious as you because I don't compost ;-))

Oh no. Do not go down the Suburu path. You might as well just move to Portland and chain yourself to a tree at that point. ;)
