It was the most unusual wedding I'd ever attended, but so meaningful. I really loved it. And yes, it was MUCH less extravagant than the typical wedding these days. So there are often goat jokes now at our church, because who knows what animals will turn up. The lady who got married yesterday is part of the slow food movement and wants to one day have her own goat farm. As part of their wedding present, the church sponsored two goats from Heifer International and also gave her an actual goat. The actual goat was brought (by the family with the aforementioned goat) to the service at the end. hehe.
