luckily, I've never kept up with a journal for longer than a couple weeks - so even the stupid teenage journals are mercifully short. (and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks about what people would think if I died/got sick and they had to go through my house!)

and yay for your crazy neighbors with the big fireworks! was it the same house?

But, see, what if Mike and I died suddenly and someone had to come clean out our stuff and they READ MY OLD JOURNALS? I would be MORTIFIED IN HEAVEN. And that is why I got rid of them. Heaven should not be about mortification.

I still have some journals that I only tore a few pages out of, so I am not in need of one right now. I'm trying to decide what kind of journaling I might want to do (that would be less mortifying).

I dont know if I could bring myself to burn my journals which go back to grade school. I know wheres things in there I wouldnt want people to read, but at the same time, thats who I was. Clearly Im not that girl anymore but thats my record of who I was. Intersting how different we think on this... do you need new blank journals now, Kari?
