great post!! i, too, want my life to tell a story. when it's all said and done, i don't want to be remembered by what i "did", but by who i was to the people around me.

i really like coming here...it feels a little different than your other site. kind of like when someone moves, and you're all excited about going to their new house? not that i didn't like going to the old house, but i find myself all giddy to pop over here, with all the newness. and get all cozy and at home here, ready to sit down and enjoy my coffee with some good insight and great reading. of course it helps that i'm taking today off and can actually do those things like sit and drink and read. ok, enough babbling. ;)

I got a copy of Don's newest book for Christmas, and I think that, based on the blog post you pointed to, I'm going to read it sooner rather than later.

[If you think Thoreau and Emerson are self-important, I'd hate to see what you'd have to say about Ayn Rand. Tee hee hee.]

As you know, I really like the idea of living a story rather than reaching a goal. The story you describe taht you would like to live sounds very similar to my own. I re-read Donald Miller's post again last night and was again encouraged by it. Thanks for the reminder.
