Thanks for the review, Kari. It is interesting you mention your perspective in high school, as I've been thinking on this A LOT lately. In fact, Kendra and I have been talking a ton about this very thing: the action/activity focus that we see in the high school students and the praise they get from those good actions. But there is so much left out of the equation. I don't know if that makes sense, but I'd love to pick your brain a bit more on the subject.

I wrote this title down after your last post, and I am glad to hear more about it. I've never heard this word before (acedia), but I totally understand (and live) the concept, especially lately. I am really looking forward to reading it.

I will def have to read this book. Thank you for the review. You know how sometimes you feel like reading a certain kind of book? Like in the summer you might want to read a romance while you lay on the beach or how in the winter you want to curl up by the fire with some poetry or take your fave book you've read a 100 times on the plane with you on a trip? Know what I mean? I feel like right now I would like to read something like this - something to provoke some thought and challenge me.
