For once, thank you, Amazon.com recommendations.

What is this?!

Amazon.com NEVER actually recommends something I would like to purchase. Until now.

  1. I usually get pretty solid recommendations out of Amazon. Of course, I have eight-plus years of purchase [and rating] history with them.

What…. what is that?! I do not own that book! I thought the only Madeleine book I didn’t own was Ilsa! I have to go look at that now… or is it poetry? I don’t think I own all her poetry…

I imagine this has been in the works for a while, set in motion before she passed away . . . it will probably be a while before we see anything else.

Really? Amazon is frequently dead-on with me.

I bought textbooks many moons ago, so they are always recommending library stuff that I don’t need, plus they are always recommending things I already own, or movies they think I want because Mike owns something similar. It just doesn’t work for me.

  8. You can always go back and tell it not to use certain items as influences for your ratings. Of course, that takes a lot of work. That, and I use the “Not Interested” check often.

I would rather just ignore the recommendations, like I usually do. I can come up with what I want without their help. :)
