We've lived for 7 years in a house with electricity only (no gas), so when the power goes out in the winter it gets darn chilly (even here in NC), especially with infants & toddlers in the house. So the last 2 winters we've dutifully trudged to a friend's house to stay while our power is out (it's been out 3+ days at a time each of the past 2 winters). And now we're moving to a much bigger house in 2 weeks, one with gas heat and a gas log fireplace. Bring on the power outages!

On a summer missions trip one year when I was 17 or 18.. we were on a long van ride from TN to Kansas.. me and one of the other guys.. started making up songs.. and we would get everyone to sing them with us.. one of them.. was taking Father of Lights.. and mixing around all the letters in the song.. it went like this

instead of .. Father of Lights.. you delight.. delight in your children

it went.. Lather of Fights.. chou yelight.. chelight in your dildren.

there's just something about that song I guess.. hehe.. and you should be ashamed of yourself.. laughing in church.. I mean.. who does that.. ;)
